Chanukah is a favorite Jewish holiday, but most people don't know what it's about. Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, even atheists love Chanukah, but the celebration of Chanukah is not over the military victory of the Maccabbees, who were Torah scholars that defeated the world's super power at the time, the Syrian Greek empire. The miracle we celebrate on Chanukah is that the few and pure were able to defeat the many and defiled, which is symbolized by the pure oil of the light of the Menorah. A light that shines in the Jewish people only through learning and observing the Torah.
