This week's Parasha includes many lessons we must learn, and in the middle of many disastrous problems, HaShem gives us the mitzvah of Tzitzit. Something every Jewish man is obligated to wear on any four cornered garment. Why is this mitzvah so important? So we don't follow our heart and after our eyes!
"And it shall be to you as tzitzit, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of HaShem, and do them; and so you don't follow after your heart and after your eyes, after which you go astray:" - Sefer Bamidbar 15:39 (Book of Numbers)
Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, wearing Tzitzit will protect a Jew from sinning with immorality and heresy, will help to have emunah in HaShem, and it will offer protection during times of Midat HaDin, times of strict judgment on the world.
