Doomsday Speaker: Parashat Vayigash

Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, if Yosef were giving shiurim today, people would boo him as being a doomsday speaker. Yosef warns the brothers in Parashat Vayigash that there will be 5 more years of famine, and they need to bring Yaakov and the rest of Am Yisrael to Egypt. Yosef was only being realistic, when there's harsh decree the only option is to blow the shofar, do TeShuva, and weather the storm. It's good to be positive, but we have to face reality and give HaShem a reason to change the decree.
