Parashat Mishpatim - Jewish Slave and Canaanite Slave

Rabbi Yaron Reuven discusses the mitzvot of the Jewish slaves and Canaanite slaves, and the important lessons they teach us today. In Parashat Mishpatim HaShem gives the nation many laws that in today's society aren't politically correct, Rabbi Reuven says, what we think is irrelevant, this is the Torah. But slavery in the Torah is very different from what people know from the history of America or the Atlantic slave trade. There are rules that HaShem decreed, to help rehabilitate and protect the criminal that was sold into slavery.
