Pro Athlete The Worst Career For A Jew

Rabbi Yaron Reuven says being a pro athlete is the worst career for many reasons. In his experience as a Wall Street broker, he saw clients that couldn't handle their money go broke before the retired. Many people have dreams of becoming a professional basketball player, football player, baseball player or soccer player, but the percentage that actually achieve their dreams is very small. Rabbi Reuven says it's even worse when they do achieve their dreams, because the fall is so much greater. And competitive sports are certainly no place for a Torah observant Jew, it's the mentality of the Greeks and Romans.
