The Ultimate Kindness Parashat Vayechi

In Parashat Vayechi Yaakov Avinu makes Yosef swear to bury him in Eretz Yisrael. Rabbi Yaron Reuven says the words Yaakov used, Chesed v'Emet, "Do kindness and truth with me," refer to something special. The Sages teach that acts of kindness can be done for both the living and the departed, and there is no greater Chesed than donating to KIRUV in the name of a loved one that has passed away.
